Arthemisia, a leading producer and organiser of major art exhibitions, is reinforcing its presence in Madrid this autumn, with Palacio de Gaviria now as the stable venue for its shows.

Following the resounding success garnered by the retrospectives dedicated to Maurits Cornelis Escher and Alphonse Mucha, and the group exhibition Duchamp Magritte Dalí. 20th Century Revolutionaries. Masterpieces from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Arthemisia is now bringing to Madrid a new survey show, this time devoted to Tamara de Lempicka, confirming the Palacio de Gaviria as its permanent exhibition venue in Madrid. After recently refurbishing its Andalusian courtyard to convert it into an additional exhibition space, the palace is now a must-visit on Madrid’s art map. The predictions forecast that, with the Tamara de Lempicka show, the palace will reach one million visitors less than two years after its re-opening as an exhibition centre.

Arthemisia arrived in Spain in October 2015 with the Kandinsky retrospective held at CentroCentroCibeles, which was seen by over 200,000 visitors. Since then, the company has expanded its presence, not only in Spain, also in Portugal and the United States, where an Escher retrospective will go on show in the very heart of Brooklyn (New York) through February 2019. Apart from Italy, Arthemisia has exhibition venues in cities like Hiroshima, Singapore and Saint Petersburg.
